Torquay Bowls Club's bistro re-opens with new chef - Mark Furborough
We are excited to announce our bistro, following a refurbishment, will re-open with our new chefs and menu. Torquay Bowls Club would like to thank Ron & Kylie of Bistro on the Green for the last 3 1/2 years and extend our best wishes & good luck for their new venture.
Our new "The Greens Bistro and Bar" opened on Thursday 28th September with a fresh new look, headed by British born head chef Mark Furborough (previously of 13th Beach Golf Club). Mark has extensive experience having worked in England and France; including in a Michelin-star kitchen; for many years before coming to Australia in 2007 with his family. Since arriving he has worked in a number of restaurants, including La Parisian in Geelong and The Sands Torquay. Mark has a young family and has resided in Torquay for a number of years and is well aware of the changing patronage during the various seasons of the year and is experienced in a club environment. Mark brings with him his kitchen brigade with whom he has worked for a number of years. The bistro will be open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday with breakfast Saturday & Sunday mornings. We will be closed on Mondays, until the summer months.

Our restaurant is available for functions or, we can provide catering for your function held in the Torquay Bowls clubrooms.
