The final of the BV State Mixed Pairs GBR Region was played Sunday 31st January, 2016 between Torquay's Alan Sampson & Karen Harrington and Ocean Grove's Mick Tull & Joan Tennent. After both pairs got through to the final from the 37 pairs entered, Alan & Karen took out the title, scoring 18-16. Mick and Joan got out to an early lead on the familiar home-ground green, but Alan & Karen played a steady game to catch up and then get a nose in front which they held for the last few ends. Congratulations. They will now travel to BV State Championships at Bendigo East BC held 17-22 April. Good luck.
