Torquay Bowls Club Board of Management welcomes Andrew Terry as our new Club Manager.
Andrew boasts an impressive career in professional Club management. Having grown up in and around Geelong before working and studying in Melbourne, Andrew, after graduating from university, worked initially for the Ansett Group of companies throughout the 1980's prior to moving into the interstate Club Industry. He has held senior management roles working in the Canberra licensed market between 1992 - 1997 and then several years as General Manager at St Georges Basin Country Club, located at Jervis Bay from 1997-2000. In 2000, Andrew was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Albury SS & A Club, where he expanded the group's golf and bowling cub operations before moving to Sydney's New Brighton Golf Club in 2010, where he oversaw a major redevelopment of the Club's land holdings and club premises with the Mirvac Group. Andrew and his family took the decision to return to the Geelong region in 2013, where for the past two years, he has been General Manager at the Lara Sporting Club prior to the decision to join the Torquay Bowls Club. Andrew possess an extensive skill set in business planning and commercial food and beverage operations, in addition to the extensive management experience in RSL, Bowling and Golf Club administration. He looks forward to assisting the club's Board and members take full advantage of the exciting growth opportunities that the club presently confronts. Post: 28 June 2015
